年初一那天，也是情人節那天，一個四十九歲的台灣媽媽帶三個大孩子去爾灣大公園溜冰。他們星期六去溜冰，覺得很好玩，星期日又再去玩一次。
這一次，媽媽不小心摔倒了，後腦撞傷，腦震盪，沒醒了。

IRVINE - A 49-year-old Irvine woman who fell and hurt her head while leaving the Great Park's temporary ice rink died at a hospital two days later, an Orange County coroner's spokesman said today.
Cherlynn Tang went skating at the park's ice rink Sunday afternoon and fell as she left the ice about 12:30 p.m., said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County sheriff and coroner.
Tang was taken to Western Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Amormino said.
The Great Park set up the temporary ice rink this month.
"The City of Irvine extends its deepest sympathies and thoughts to the family of Cherlynn Tang," Irvine Mayor Sukhee Kang said in a statement. "In a community where we place such high value on family, a loss of this nature brings on a special kind of heartache and sadness."
一如所有的媽媽一樣，這位太太專心照顧三個孩子，兩女一男，從十二年級到八年級。
她突然走了，先生不知道家裡的錢放在哪個帳戶，不知道平日飯桌上的菜是去哪裡買的，不知道去哪裡買郵票，連現在郵票一張多少錢都不知道......，這些生活瑣事總是老婆料理得妥妥當當。
這些事看似瑣碎而不重要，現在都讓先生無法繼續生活下去。
先生向公司請假三個月，從生活瑣事開始學起，開始照顧孩子，開始一步一步學習老婆每天做的事。
我不認識這位先生，但是我可以體會他生活中的步步艱難，「中年喪偶」是人生大不幸，如何堅強起來？
我的朋友認識他，我們拜託莉莉大廚多做一份晚餐給他們，至少讓一家四口不要擔心今晚的晚餐。很多人都願意幫助他們度過這一段日子的艱難，愛心把他們家的冰箱都塞爆了。
人在異鄉，多麼怕意外！人在中年，多麼怕意外！
少一個家人，日子猶如墜入地獄：少了媽媽的家庭，作息如何正常運作？
我聽了這樣的新聞，不免跟老公討論意外處理，萬一.....。
我們不要「萬一」！
